The Program

Last Laugh Farm is a private equine facility located near Penn National Race Course and Hollywood Casino in the vicinity of Harrisburg, Pa.

We have been developing the farm as a result of our daughter Lenore’s life-long passion for everything equestrian. Lenore was the 2003 PJA year-end Children’s Champion and began her career in the equestrian industry with former Olympian  Leslie Burr Howard on the Grand Prix Circuit. She has also managed the show barn at Lionshare Farm in Greenwich, CT, which is owned by Olympic medalist Peter Leone and his wife, Marcella.  Lenore is active in all aspects of our breeding and training program.

We  breed sport horses for our own use in jumper competition and for sale to other owners with similar goals. Our approach is to cross important Warmblood stallions with proven and significant bloodlines on race-winning, well-bred Thoroughbred mares. Established bloodlines we are using include, in close proximity, such stallions as: Almé , Capitol I , Cor de la Bryere, Furioso II, Gotthard, Grannus, Inschallah, Landgraf I, Nimmerdor, Ramiro Z and Rubinstein.

The stallions appearing in the third- and fourth-generations of our young prospects read like a “who’s who” of modern show jumping performance – Argentinus, Burggraaf, Carthago, Contender, Concorde, Darco, For Pleasure, Heartbreaker, Jus de Pomme, Le Tot de Semilly, Quidam de Revel, Sandro, Voltaire and Zeus, among others.

As time goes by we are committed to finding the proper environments for our young horses so that they can prosper and distinguish themselves in hunter and jumper rings, in the hunt field and in three-day eventing and dressage.

We currently have a fine selection of young horses for sale and look forward to hearing from everyone interested in our prospects.
